It’s that time of year! That’s right, after patiently waiting 12 months it is again time for the DayNine coast-to-coast holiday parties. For more than a week, DayNine festivities were reported on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn from activities in Pleasanton, Dallas, Chicago and New York.
Wondering which office topped the other in food, fun and some essential DayNine Cares? Let’s just say, each lived up to the DayNine motto of Work Hard, Play Harder!
Dallas
DayNine Dallas started us off with a great holiday dinner at the Dallas Chop House. DayNine’s Dallas team was joined by DayNine leadership (in town for 2012 planning) and a number of other team members attending DayNine training. With a full house (too many to get in picture), DayNine Dallas set the first bar for fine dining. And not to let it end there, included a quick stop at the City Tavern.
New York
The DayNine Holiday Party Express pulled into New York City and promptly took over the modern and luxurious Frames Bowling Center in Midtown Manhattan. The DayNine New York team were good sports, allowing guests from the Pleasanton and Chicago offices to crash the party, as they filled the night with good drink, food and serious competition on the lanes. While no clear winner announced, we’re not sure anyone really cared by the end of the night. DayNine NYC clearly took the “Play Harder” mandate to heart.
Chicago
DayNine Chicago combined their holiday spirit and energy into a fun, yet competitive, day of Whirlyball. Amongst a unique blend of bumper cars, lacrosse and basketball, the divided teams put the pedal to the metal and ball through the net as they loudly competed for bragging rights. Rounded out with drinks and dining, the Chicago team may have taken the prize for most unique experience.
Pleasanton
The Pleasanton DayNine Team kicked-off its holiday celebrations by participating in a DayNine Cares project at the local Kids Against Hunger facility. The DayNine team packaged almost 1,300 meals to be distributed to malnourished children and their families in developing countries and the United States. After working up an appetite, the team headed to Handles Gastropub for a great lunch, then worked it off carving up the ice at IceLand, and wrapped-up the festivities with drinks at The Dublin Sports Pub. A great day on so many levels and awesome start to the holidays.
